That’s way too much money, unless you can somehow get the hotel staff to let you just use the shower for a discount.

Motel 6 will leave the light on for you.
And with your CDL you get a discount.D.Tibbitt, PE_T and Moosetek13 Thank this. -
Here is a cheaper and more readily available solution:
Go to the pharmacy section of any Walmart. Usually on the back wall is the adult diaper section. There will be adult wipes, larger and stronger than baby wipes. I buy the Assurance brand 96 count for about $5.
One pack can last a month or so. The trick is to stow it upside down when you first get it, so the moisture saturates the top wipe. If you store it upright the top several wipes will dry.
A couple wipes and I can clean up decently after securing and tarping a load. I can go days at a time without a shower.
These also work great for cleaning off grease. If my leather work gloves get grease all over them, I wear the gloves and "wash my hands" with a wipe.kylefitzy, D.Tibbitt, PE_T and 1 other person Thank this. -

Have you ever NOT needed fuel, yet needed or wanted to be clean?
Have you ever tried bamboo cloth( big as a Bath Towel ) soaked in aloe?
Have you ever taken a shower and gotten toe fungus? Or been 2 hours in line?
Have you ever taken a shower in water so hard your skin dried out and cracked?
Have you ever opened your mind to possibilities? Or simply being prepared for the unexpected...like maybe stuck someplace for days, and NO truckstop, or Motel...hence no shower.
Have you ever thought or "heard" of being self sufficient? Just in case?
Proper prior planning....and all.... -
If your stick for days on end in a place like you describe, you have bigger problems than getting a shower!

(1) 5gal bucket from Dunkin Donuts..used to have donut filling in it so it's safe and free!!
water from the fuel lane filled 1/2 way. add lid
presto- water to wash dishes or arms or truck floors... or even dunk my whole head when I tarped in Pueblo.
I've never showered in my truck- I'll look that up. I prefer my 10 away from truck stops and sometime the shower wait won't work for me. I have put the bucket on the catwalk and 'washclothed' myself pretty darn clean but I can do it wearing a dress and that makes it a little easier. Might look more awkward for a guy lol.... -
PE_T, kemosabi49 and Makeajump Thank this.
