bought old Fo4d Aeromax l8000. 2 knobs on dash 1 yellow, 1 red. Do you push in both to drive. Knobs are worn out. Can't read

Just the yellow. The red is trailer supply.

If it’s a typical straight truck-dump truck you would just use the yellow to drive/park, the red knob would be left in the pulled out position.

The red knob SHOULD be the air supply for a pup or tag trailer if the truck is set up for a trailer.

Yellow should be a diamond and red should be 6 sided stop sign.

Red feeds trailer attached to your dump truck. Otherwise it stays out yellow IS your actual dump truck.

    Apparently not.

Which is a shame. Ive been sleepless last night wondering. I don't mind rookie questions. But everyone should know Mr Buttons first week.

God, I hope he does not take truck out onto public roads without passing the airbrake written test and have that as a restriction against same.

If it's for ag use, depending on the state, he might not even have a CDL.

That's what I was thinking. I was driving a dump truck on the farm I grew up on long before I even had a drivers license let alone a CDL.

It depends on the year model, I keep my trailer valves and charge the system, so that I will have decent brakes bobtailing.

Just imagine if the truck had the blue knob.....

Sadly, there's probably some that don't know what the blue knob was for
