what happens if you have mild sleep apnea and never had reported it on a dot exam from years ago. But you are in the process of making dr appointmeant to get rediagnosed and so you can start reporting it with new diagnosis

Why would you report it now, if you haven't in the past?

well...frankly, you do have at least 3 choices.

    1) have your doctor run one for you, so that is documented

    2) keep quiet about it

    3) the DOT doctor if you tell him/her, may order you to take another one anyways.

which may very well happen since they would need that for thier files?

of course you now now, that you will most likely have more crap now, with the machine, logging it (or whatever one does as proof of usage), keeping it clean when on the road, having power to run it, what if you cannot install an inverter or the company does not have an APU.??? and so on and so forth

i wish you well in your decision.

i dunno, they do not mention costs of the device nor the operation, nor longevity of any internal battery?

Some insurance companies pay for it. All I know is what's on the website. If it were me, I'd rather use that device than wear a mask with hoses. What do you think? If I had sleep apnea, I'd check it out anyway.
I wouldn't reveal anything to a DOT doctor and risk either delaying starting work or be denied a 2 yr. medical card for a 12 month card.
