WHO IS THIS #####? YES YOU DID COME ACROSS AS A PR###!! Apparantlly one who also can't read. This forum was not set up to be a question and answer forum for noobs like myself who have asked the same questions over and over. These guy's alway's take time out of their day to answer anyone's question. And from what I have read they have been overly nice to you!! Make sure you read a thread before you come on and post your opinion.

here's a little trucker information for anyone passing thru salt lake. guess they are doing some restriping for the next 3 nights.

On I-15, the 600 North on- and off-ramps will be closed.
The I-15 northbound ramp to westbound SR 201 will be closed.
On the I-15 northbound collector, ramps will close at 2100 South, 1300 South and 900 South.
I-80 eastbound from I-15 northbound will be close.
I-80 westbound at State Street to I-15 north and southbound will be closed.
The 3300 South on-ramp to I-15 northbound will close.
Once you're on I-15, there will be northbound lane restrictions from 3300 South to 600 North

just make sure you keep your recovery cd's for your pc jess. those are the keys to fixing your computer. i've seen lot of people pay big bucks to fix there computers and still have something that don't work. those recovery cd's are what fixes your computer back to a brand new out of the box condition. lose those recovery cd's and your up a creek without a paddle. although you can reorder them for a fee.

there's a little peace of software available for free on the internet. for those of you wondering about your significant others. it's called google earth. you can see what the weather is doing throughout the country and most of canada. hurricanes are neat to watch now that hurrican season is around the corner. although not neat for the people they hit. you have traffic for all the cities using traffic cameras. and you can zoom down to street level. so you can see where your truckers are at and there surroundings. lots of information at the click of a mouse. compared to visiting various websights. very handy for finding those potatoe farms when you get screwed up directions and 411 is closed for the night:yes2557:

i also have google on my blackberry. doesn't do weather, but the traffic feature and gps mapping is really handy.

Hello Snowwy - now that you are here, I am no longer the newbie chat thread person - so welcome and stick around awhile.

Brickman - I don't think of you an insensitive pr**k - you have answered some of my questions, with straight forward honest - what can a noob except? I don't want sugar coated, rosy color picture if it is not true - so thanks.

Jess, can't wait til I get a job and can meet you and JJ on the road - then you can give me some personal mother henning.

I started school on Monday - private - It is really boring - just watching movies, reading books and taking test - next week we have the permit class - I all ready have my permit - but it will reinforce what I learned so I guess all is good.

I Started in April of last year the thread on here because i felt like we were taking over earthbrown's thread. At one time this thread kinda died out. there was about 8 months of no one posting on it before it really took off. I even forgot that i started it until jess seen it pop up with peoples questions. The intent that i have for this thread is for all of us to socialize share experiences and information. when i got back into trucking i was lost or clueless about everything and it was hard finding the answers and information about trucking and companies that i was seeking. I did not want others to have to have a hard time finding info like i did. I am a helper and teacher by nature and i love doing both. I wont hesitate to help someone that needs a helping hand. I hope others who read this thread get the info they seek and all they have to do is ask and we will try and get the answers to you the best that we can. Just to let new people know we are not just and info thread but a big trucking family. JJRanch.:biggrin_25525:

Well am in Olathe at the moment. The temperature god was having a fit and just wasn't going to waste my time and money by faxing in the BOL. Told them I would hit our yard and have it done free there. 2 hrs later, am still here. Turns out the tlr needed servicing. Have had the chance to take a shower tho, got my summer safety class out of the way, and am even getting the truck washed. Wonder if it will fall apart from being clean?

DM just called me and wanted to let me know that my tlr was turned off. Well duh!!! What do you want me to do about it, I'm not even hooked up to it? I so love this job and all that goes with!!! Only a tad bit of sarcasm there, I really do love it!!!!

Welcome to our room in the asylum Snowy! I will keep yall updated on the lease 1bad is getting ready to do. He left the house this morning heading to KS then hopefully on to WVC to get his new pete. So the next couple of months will be really telling.

I just want to get one thing off my chest about this thread. Some people just don't get that we are here to support everyone with ANYTHING they may need. Not just answer recruiting questions. I for one have really enjoyed this thread and it has been a huge support system for me. We are new to the industry and have no one in the family that has ever been a trucker. So yes there are some days I just need to vent or heck for that matter have adult conversation people and I turn here. And I am thankful that it is here for me to turn to. I would have jumped off the deep end a long time ago with out it. So JJ I say a big thank you and send you a HUG for starting this thread. (Chill Jess it was just a hug dear!!!!!!!!!!! LOLOLOLOL) Ok had to put a little humor in to get back to being my old self. I am done ranting for the day. I will check back in in a little while.
