...unless you're a liberal. Then you can fly ANY flag you want to, because you are so 'sensitive'...
...hmmmm...seeing all these flags...wondering how they got here...now fly freely as if this were their ground...
Aw, I better quit before I get upset again. :biggrin_25512:

Need to quit being so sensitive about crap like this.

Over the 4th of July weekend, we had a nice celebration at my house here in Monterrey. And yes, I had an American flag flying, the same one used to cover my fathers casket many years ago.

And the neighbors, all Mexican citizens, had no problem with it at all. They honor my holidays the same as I show respect for theirs. Besides, the neighborhood kids love the fireworks I smuggled in!

No offense, but the flag of the USA is not the "Tricolor"......Drive anywhere in SO-CAL and you'll see the "Tricolor" flying and many times above the "Stars and Stripes"...... The "tricolor" has no business flying on US soil except at the embassies....

It is not proper to fly an American flag that has been laid over a casket. I thought everyone knew that!

There are quite a few of us that don't feel that the dishonorment of our flag is "crap". I find it quite interesting however that you would fly the flag used on your own father's casket. I honor the flag that draped my father's casket as that flag was placed in honor of his service to this nation and because the flag is then considered "retired". (not to be flown again) It would be a simple matter to purchase another flag at the local W-M for about $29.95 and thus be able to avoid insulting the service of your father.

However..........to each his own I suppose..............

As to my "own"........I am an American I fly the American flag not another nations. Not my heritage nor some country that I think has cool music or good food. The flag of Mexico should be flown in Mexico or at the embassy not on my porch.

I should hope that citizens of Mexico could, would, should have the same respect and care of their flag.
