i can’t find much info on Tyson on here. Anybody on here work there. Sounds like good pay per mile and nice benefits. I have 11 years driving experience and about 4 of that being reefer.
Any info on Tyson foods?

There is only one Tysons and that's here in Fayetteville Arkansas. It takes a while to load. But way better than some of the Ozark Chicken Houses that occasionally loaded.
I just leave you with one firm warning. If you aint been out here in the Ozarks, Crooked means BENT BAD. You will see signs slowing you to 5 in some places. And not even that.
Enjoy. You haul the chicken, I cook it. -

Pay is good at Tyson Foods. They will run you as hard as you want most of the time. Sometimes you wind up sitting waiting on production for a load or at a customer waiting to be unloaded. I average 2600 or better every week. I have been on Texas regional for 4-5 years now. Any questions feel free to ask.

What about what these other guys are saying on the thread about the chicken plants out in the boonies? Is that true? Can you tell what your average length of haul is? What about detention pay?where do you guys fuel at? Ever have to unload the freight yourself? How do you pay the lumpers? How much is drop/hook vs live loads/unloads? How much night driving and late night appointments do you have? Thanks!

There are some plants in the boonies but not a big deal. I am on regional and average length of haul is around 350 -425 total miles. Dont get detention pay get a layover at $100 if you sit for 18 hrs or don't move 200 miles in 18 hrs. Have to deliver to some military bases that require us to tailgate the product but not often. Mainly fuel at loves, pilot/flying j but do have other fuel stops as well. Have heard otr is on fuel solutions but not sure as they started that after i went regional. You pay lumpers with comcheck. Otr gets $35 for 2nd p/u or 2nd drop there out on the load. Dont get paid for the first. Regional doesnt get extra for the first pickup of which we usually have only 1 pick, but we get paid $35 for each drop including the first unless it is a relay and thats the same wether its drop and hook or live unload. A lot of what we do is pick up at a pl plant and live unload at a customer. Do a lot of night driving with middle of the night early morning unloads
dwells40 Thanks this.
