Any experienced Mercer drivers know the answer to this? I’m a private person and Mercer does not need to know everywhere I go.

You are going to be on an ELD so what do you think you are hiding by not having trailer tracking? It's probably a good thing to find those dropped trailers than sometimes cannot be found. Flatbeds are owned by the drivers so no tracking, but vans I believe are leased now so they can have drop & hook operations, those could possibly have them but I doubt it.
fss99701 Thanks this. -
They don't care where you are. Their trailer on the other hand they have 100% the right to know where it is. If you don't like it buy your own trailer.
flood, brian991219 and Matt43324 Thank this. -
Mercer puts trackers on their vans but not the flatbeds. Question answered so no more unsolicited opinions are required.

Do you not know how the internet works? By asking the question, you will get opinions. It's the nature of the beast.

Since the OP is such a private person, what does it matter to him that a trailer is tracked.
You wont believe the trackers in medicine. They are very devious about it.
