well too, when you think about GM, putting a chevette automatic to a Cadillac engine, WTF were they thinking..???

or boring out a gasoline engine, to convert it to a diesel, and the heads were blowing off them.,..??

You know the funny part about my 110,000ile road king. Barring a gold wing it's worth more than any 1 year old Japanese bike lol. It's not like I'm against Japanese bikes either. I own a 02 Suzuki drz400s and a 16 crf450 but taco Bell is worth more used than any Japanese bike lol. As far as people trailering them....you live in the snowpocalypse lol. They are daily drivers here.

oh i know the value and resale of a used Hardly-Dependable, and i was going to buy a slate blue on back about the early 1990's i think when the road king first came out?

but the mortgage on that, and like you said, for the amount of time we can ride them up here, it just wasn't worth it to me, over my new (then) 1994 t-bird.....

but there are some RUB's...do you know what those are..??

that'll buy the clothing's, buy the bikes, buy the shiny chrome stuff and then trailer thier precious bikes, rather than ride them

    RUB's......anyone know what they are..???

If your house is dirt cheap you can afford a nice ride.

but at what price, what limits are "nice rides"?

i got me a nice 2019 toyota camry list price is about $25,000, for about $9,500 when i pay the lease term.

gets me anywhere i need to go, for well under the outrageous stupid pricing of any vehicle over $50,000, to simply get around town.

then too, please do tell me, if anyone is gonna spend well over $50 g's for a truck, are they REALLY gonna go into the woods with it, and get it all scratched up..???

i think not. he will park that stupid expensive truck farthest away from the store doors, in the boonies, so some numb-nuts,doesn't put a scratch on it parking next to him....

and you know, that's the truth....

as well as anyone else, spending stupid money, for a vehicle that depreciates driving it off the lot and more each year he owns it.

that 22k house the other guy bought, that you are ragging on..??

that measly 22k house will APPRECIATE in value over the years, and he will make back EVERY PENNY invested..

NO high dollar truck owner will EVER see that...

I do use my suburban for hauling the bikes to the races, 3rd row seat hasn't been in it since the second day I owned it and I use my f750 less and less these days and just tow the car on my flat trailer with the suburban. All hope is not lost....some of us still use vehicles for what they were intended lol.
