Dollar General or Family Dollar?

Just a clarification for the newbies (who are usually the ones inquiring about those accounts) that they’d see a “loading zone”, rather than a dock. “Rather obvious”. Lol.

Hey, either way, it sparked a much more interesting conversation than the one that it was developing in to. Win- win. It’s all good, even for a bunch of “chat bots” (whatever that is).

Dollar Tree, is the owner of Family Dollar.
Had announced back in March of closing 400 Family Dollar stores in 2019. Also plans exist to rebrand up to 600 Family Dollar stores to Dollar Tree stores, no firm time frame has been outlined for this change over.
Sales for the market segment have been flat to slightly declining over the last few years.

Dollar General and Dollar Tree corporate have not been happy with the trade situation. Both companies rely on imported products for store stocks. Any added costs will definitely have impact on revenues and profits.
