Air Dryer Leaking Excessive Air

Question..my air dryer sent a malfunction on my display and when I drain my brakes its alot of water coming out. Is this a major concern? If so please explain. Thanks

 

Water out of the air tanks? Lots of it? Yeah that's not good. Air dryer cartridge is probably saturated and ready to be replaced.

If it's an air leak, that's a dot violation. Why do so many owner operators ignore it instead of fixing if its easy and cheap. I find it annoying to get parked only to have someone idling all night with air dryer popping every 30 seconds. It's hard to sleep sometimes because some don't just pop, they flutter for 3-6 seconds as well.

It's called a purge valve. Most dealers/parts houses carry them.

 

I have the same problem. While Down the road running before I hear the release of air (toooooosh) I can feel the engine is derated for 1 second after that I hear the release of air (tooooosh) after that the truck is running normal until the next release (toooooosh). Another thing is while parked and engine running I hear constantly air release around the differential approximately in 5 minutes. I have no idea what the problem. Help is appreciated. Thanks.
