Put a v board on a rounded squishy surface, start tensioning your straps. It will drag the boards off.
When you haul sod let us know how the v board deal works. Maybe I'm wrong......
So you need sod?

I've haad to tape down corner protecters, tighten up the strap and it pulls the protecter right off... (yeah! Back on the deck.....)

Depends where you put them.
With a load like that nobody says you have to put them right at the corner to start tighting the strap. -
I'd be interested in seeing how the boards set. Show us some pics if you have them.johndeere4020 Thanks this. -
Sorry no pics.
My flatbedding days were in the dark age(before digital camera's)
Don't forget you can adjust 3 things.
1°the boards themselves.
2°the distance between the topboard and the sideboard.
3°where you place them.
Offcoarse the boards will flex.
Might even break over time.
So what,they are cheap.
Set up the right way you will be able to tighten the straps like they should be tightend.
And you might score some browniepoints with DOT should you get inspected. -
starmac, Ruthless, passingthru69 and 4 others Thank this.

Does anyone know if the trucks they run are manual or automatics? Any information provided is greatly appreciated.
