Sorry for not updating in a while.
I did end up leaving. They got to the point getting home was like pulling teeth. they would get me 300 miles from home and want me to take a bus. But had no problem deadheadding me from Tulsa, Ok to Chicago, IL.
Anyway, I got word from a friend of mine that he saw 5 Melton trucks empty sitting at the Petro NW of Indianapolis at exit 202.
I just couldnt justify being out for 300 a week. Dispatch's attitude changed. They got rude and demanding. That was it for me.
The reason I wanted out of a KW was they are too small. I could do jumping jacks in my old Freightshaker.
Later.
Melton So far so good.

I to pull for Melton out of Tulsa, OK. I am in a freightliner century, trust me, what the KW lacks in room, it gains in performance. I have been with Melton for a year now, and they are gonna have to fire me to get rid of me.When i mentioned that to Bob Peterson, he said, and i quote.." Well.....that can be arranged."(jokingly of course) All i can say is that the grass is not always greener on the other side. I can afford to make $300 a week, but thats me, everyones diffferent. That does not mean i want to, but i can afford it.Sorry to hear that you left, you were with one of the best flatbed companies on the road. The miles are slow right now, but they will pick up, they always do. Good luck at your new company, and be safe out there. 10-4?
