Volvo.
The smoothest, quietest, easiest to maneuver (short of a cabover), and most comfortable, OTR truck currently available (as far as I know). Of course I have only driven older Macks, Freightliners, and Internationals.
Owner ops seem to like Kenworths, Peterbilts, and Western Stars. They claim a better resale value and better durability long term but have no first hand info either way on these trucks. -
Volvo gets my vote with Kenworth a close 2nd. Driving a Frieghtliner at this time and that most of my driving has been with the Frieghtshakers
-
Have always hitched my wagon to a STAR.

ok I will be the one....Make mine a PETE...No paticular reason I just feel more comfortable in one..I can put my Pete in any dock you can put your Volvo or cabover in...I have driven Internationals, Volvos. Kw's and a Freightshaker or two...never been in a Mack...I just like my Pete... especialy when on long long runs..nothing like a Pete when going down the super slab...like the saying goes "old truckers never die they just get a new Peterbilt.
-
From the outside, quite honestly a Pete 387. Best combination of size, power, build, and modern architecture. Then a KW T600 or T800.
From the inside, the 387 or a Volvo probably even a little more. The space inside the Volvo is a bit better appointed. I like a large, comfy, quiet cab. Just feels safer too. -
My all time favorite truck is a Peterbilt model 359. Theres just something about that corvette style dash. Not to mention it's just a classic "truck".
Hitman Thanks this. -
1. Pete - Comfort,Ride,Looks
2. Kenworth - Comfort, Ride, Looks
3. International - Interior room
4. Mack - None
5. Volvo - None
I have an 07 Volvo VNL630 and hate it. The only good thing about it is the quietness of the truck while driving other than that I hate it. No leg room, air ride steer axle sucks, no room in the sleeper. -

I wouldn't kick it out of bed for leaving soot trails
So how much of that dash is stock? Do all those guages actually do anything?
