Okay, tired of hackers...chop shops, coathanger welders, and other hack jobs working on my radios...I want to find someone that will look at my radio, get it to do what it will do best, set my system up in my truck to get out the most optimum performance, and not be sold a bunch of crap I don't need for unbelievably high prices for unbelievably low quality crap. So, I am open to opinions, and experiences. I run mostly midwest from Denver to Indianapolis, and Grand Rapids down to Laredo...and everything in between. I found one shop I really liked on I30 north of Pine Bluff in Arkansas, in a hole in the wall truck stop, but I rarely get up on that highway...I run alot of I40, 44 and 70 going east/west and I75, 65, 55, 35 going north.south...so that should narrow down what you give me folks...I value your opinions...look forward to hearing them.
Looking for a reputable, and experienced Radio shop

Go talk to Chuck at the CB shop in Denver. Its just outside the back gate of the T/A on the East side of town. The one off Quebec street not Ward Road. He is the only guy who I allow to touch anything I have. I personally think he is very good, been dealing with him for several years and never had any kind of problem.

I've read a lot of good info about Sparky's. I've never used them but I have done a lil research myself because there are so few shops anymore.
I have read about another well talked about shops but sounds like they hack em up so they bleed across many channels.
I like a good tuned radio that is clear without all the noise makers. They make my dogs ears bleed. -
Sparky's does great work. I would have recommended it to him but he has no place to get a truck to his place even bobtail and he does not do work while you wait because he is very busy. He does 99% of his business over the phone and on the internet and people ship there stuff to him. I'll tell you this he is one of the best though I have 2 Sparky radios and they both walk the dog barefoot.
He is also honest and stands behind his work.

I don't know about sparkeys other then they don't answer emails or return phone calls, but I have found some pics of the work he does.Got to ratchetjaw.net go down to radio modifcations and click on funny things I have found in cbs on my work bench, and if that is quality work then I sure don't want it.I had dodgem do my work and am very satisfied, evn saved myself $about $100.00 dollars getting my work done from dodgem.

Any shop can tune a radio, the ones that fail to test them under load arent worth doing business with IMO
Any shop claiming they can tune a Cobra 25,29 etc to exceed 35 watts should be avoided.
That 45-50 watts is pure BS so dont buy into it.
Sparky's does good work and has a solid Rep.
Ive never had a problem with Al answering the phone when I call
Ranger CB I/20 #349 is my home town favorite for
simple fix's and picking up parts or whatever.
Their Old School and always priced right. -
Well Dodgem may do ok work I don't know, but he bashes everybody's work not just sparky's on every cb forum on the internet. I think it makes him feel better about himself. That radio pictured is not from sparky's I can tell you that. Probably came from super hack pack billy whack jack black mack attack mike at radiohackjob radios! That looks like his work. I have never once not gotten a response from an email to sparky's or not been able to get an answer on the phone. Go to ampsrus.org if you want real feedback on sparky's work from his actual customers that know there radios.
