Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

I was surprised to see nothing there for that very reason of being high value, especially stacked to the roof and only 7 pallets total in the front.

 

Those loads are sealed by the shipper when they are picked up.

 

I blame HP really, common sense oughta have told them to put something in there or have us drop with empties straps or bars in them.

 

After a bit of struggle yesterday I got my load assignment taking me straight to my home for a morning delivery.
This home time is one were I will get to see the dentist and have him pull out a broken crown tooth!
The last few weeks of driving have been very painful and I'm looking forward to some relief!

 

Ouch, praying you get fast relief! Tooth pain is the worst I believe.

 

They are sending me to fedex freight in Fife for them to rework and restack this load so it can be secured properly this time. Gotta be there 4am tomorrow, lol! Im normally up at that time anyway. Supposed to reschedule delivery with Costco for Tuesday when I come off home time. Nobody at Abilene wanted to take liability for figuring out how to rework and restack the load and that is why I sat til my 14 started counting down.....I told them I already figured out how to restack it so it could be secured properly but nobody listens us drivers.....

 

Ugh... now my truck is having electrical issues... last week I had no lights on the top of my trailer... turned out to be a fuse... tonight I dropped at RVA and rolled down my window and now it won’t come back up... the other window won’t go down... and the mirrors won’t adjust... I assume it’s all one fuse... I guess it’s a good night to sleep with the one window down... lol

Going to have my side skirts looked at in the morning as they seem to like to flop around while driving... both are jacked up and held on with wire... something is loose in the front right corner too as you can hear it vibrate from a mile away...

And no clue when the last PM was done on it as there is no sticker, so I’ll see if the shop has any records on it... if not, ask that they do one since I’m here on the yard.

Except I hate that the safety system now goes the extra step and mutes the audio input... I don’t mind the beeping but seriously? Gotta mute my audio too???

You should see the 48 footer at the yard with the back half of the roof peeled off and the door hanging off.
