Rand Mcnally TND 740 not accepting any address?

check your HISTORY after you enter a new address.
if it is not on the top of the list, it means this file (DestHistory.txt) somehow is bad, please delete it.

 

Use your phone and type in gps lattitude longitude coordinates for destination that the Rand Mcnally device is not accepting. Their is a place on the Rand Mcnally where you can insert gps coordinates. Insert them and go. While you do this also use your phone gps to make sure you are going in the right direction. Many times Ive tried to search for an address on the unit and the unit wouldnt do it. Everytime I put the gps coordinates in its never taken to the wrong destination. Ever. Its been 100% accurate. On the first screen if you select guided search and keep going through the menus you will come upon the screen to insert gps coordinates. On my 540 its at the bottom.
