I need to know what all of what you drivers know so I can keep tabs on my drivers. I have some issues going on with a few of my drivers and I need the INSIDE SCOOP. For example; one drivers claims to be skipping weigh stations because he claims he's over weight and can't adjust the tandems or 5th (im working on a prepass for him), he claimed to have gotten emergency road service & tire repair for $150, (yeah right)...So if you get my point then just POST some stuff. Thanks![]()

my only complaint would be, and dont be mad, its just how i feel,
is having the owner of the company, the dispacth, and saftey director of the company, all managers of all DRIVING positions no know what its like to drive/live in a truck, deal with shippers/recievers(face2face), dot(face2face), HOS, traffic, bad days.
thats my only complaint.Freeway Trucking LLC Thanks this. -
Had this happen a few weeks back.
Picked up a load....under gross, but overweight. Had to go back and get some taken off. Then had a mechanical issue with the trailer (an older one) on the way. Could not make original delivery appointment. Was eventually told to "take it up there and see if they'll let you in".
Nope...not doin' it.
If I go there, and I can't get in (this was a Friday, by the way), there is the potential of having to wait another day with no pay, along with the real possibility of no parking nearby.
In other words, do not send me to a shipper or receiver hoping they'll just "fit me in", thereby putting my time at risk. It is up to Customer Service (or whoever the person is at your company) to ensure the driver will be able to load or unload when he/she arrives. Dont give me this "wing it" crapola.
And for goodness sake...be honest with the drivers. True, you get your share of lies from the field. But veteran drivers can smell a rat and know (for the most part) when they're being handed a line of garbage. -
I didnt get a deal he got some money in his pocket...but its cool.

Why would you employ someone you felt was a thief? You claim to be docking his check slowly yet you are unsure of his actions. This would also make you a thief.

i consider everyone honest until they prove otherwise....i have yet to dock his pay until i see proof or no proof of a tire....but if a driver wants to play like this then he will never make it...understand that drivers tend to see how far they can go with this honesty thing...i have learned in this business so far the truth is hard to come by....so im not a thief...i would just be recouping monies that is rightfully owed to us

I am confused, by the title you want us to tell you what drivers want? Or is this just a my drivers are silly thread?
