I live in Colorado - try Wolf Creek Pass - Oh My God road - there are a couple of others. 1000 foot drop is nothing on these roads. That is unless they have fixed Wolf Creek since I was there last. It is very un-nerving in a 4x4, I can't even imagine how it is done in a truck; super slow comes to mind.

I am happy to read all the good news - for me, the good news perks me up.

    Hunter - congrats!

JJ - thanks for the feed back on May - I will try Watkins Shepard - besides they don't have paperless logs and I think I would like to learn how to do paper before I go to paperless.

Hmmm, did W.C.P. in 1975 w a set of doubles in the late fall, piece of cake, but C. W. McCall is on my ringtone for my phone and I stayed in a Holiday Inn so every thing is easy

The spot he picked just happened to have a 1,000 foot drop. At the top the highway has a few spots where its around 4,500 to 5,000 straight down.

Jess-Juju... No offense taken. I'm not from California...lol. But it was nice to know it mattered to you. I just may have been lucky, but every Aussie I've met has been super nice and friendly always ready to lend a hand, or ptich in, and from everything I've read in here, you prove my theory = Australians are friendly. It's what interested me in visiting Australia.

For those of you who dont know who i am, qwkmouse is my significant other. i only start off my introduction that way because, first, she has been the one asking all the questions of you for my benefit as well as hers as i have not recently had the time to get on here and ask my self, and for all those who have been helpful (and you have) you have my thanks. Second i wont mention any names (you know who you are) but ill simply ask you not to attack people for expressing their opinions please. you certainly have the right to yours, but im sure your mother at some point told you "if you aint got nothin nice to say dont say it at all." Its a little juvenile dont you think?

Yep I know I am lucky! I was on the phone with him when he met you!

It will be good to get back on the road I miss the life style:biggrin_25511:

Keep on posting from a woman's perspective because it is different for a woman out there.

Australia is a great place to visit, I would recommend Darwin, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne and maybe the Gold coast but its really commercialized there now.

Welcome to the Central truck stop Jolly Roger!

I hope we have been able to help a little. That is what this thread is for!

We also BS with each other at times.

How is it working out with the new FM?

The Lease deal isn't easy even with a FM that works with you.....I can't imagine how bad it would be with a crappy FM.
