Ahhh!!! (how do you correctly spell a scream of frustration?)

I am, as many of you, looking into OTR (again) because local jobs seem to be drying up.

Seems they either don't want to pay you, promise you the world (and don't deliver), or just don't have any openings. Or, they will have an opening but there will be something amiss....Like no benefits. Or no insurance. Or work on and off....This sucks!!!!

In part, this post is out of sheer frustration. I'd love to do OTR again, but worry about the money. Is it really worth it? I can do the running; that's the easy part. I can put on the happy face and make them think all is right (even though I am cussing them from the other side of the QC).

Who is a decent company? Who has a pet policy? Hometime isn't too big of an issue as my wife wants to come along as well. They scaled her hours back so much she is just working to provide health insurance. Her job is hazardous. She blew her knee out and needed knee reconstructive surgery. Plus, with that, she may have something wrong with her hip....No job is worth having the (insert expletive here) kicked out of you every day.

Anyway, who is decent? I want Crete but they don't allow pets (we'd love to take our dog with us!). Are there miles out there to be run or is the OTR economy sucky like the local one?
