I think his is around 430,00. But the Kraft dispatcher doesn't want anything older than an 07 on his fleet and 1bad has an 06. He really doesn't want a new one though. His volvo has been very reliable in comparsion to some. Only 1 major break down since he started driving and that was because of the idiot macs in Conley when they did his last service. From what he has been told if you have an 06 it will be coming in for turn in VERY soon. They want all the 06's off the road by the end of the summer.

OMG!!!!!!!!! Ok here is the new situation at hand. 1bad's truck was sold and they have no truck to give him. Now they are saying it could be next week before he gets one. Since they can't put him in a truck and get him moving he lost his position with the Kraft fleet. To top things off he doesn't even have a dispatcher at this point. What the heck is this company doing? They should be able to get a truck for a guy who has been driving vs. news coming out of school getting into trucks. Now he is just stuck until they can get a f/m for him and a truck. They told him you have to be there for at least a year before you can get in one of the 20 or so new prostars sitting on the lot! This is absolutely insane!!!!!!!! They actually sold his truck over a month ago and never bothered to tell him until he got there Monday. So he has been driving a truck that doesn't even belong to Central anymore! Needless to say the fustration level just got blown out of the roof of that dam truck!

WOW, that sucks big time! If they can get me to west valley I will give him mine & I'll take a Prostar...
However I don't think Central would be to cool with that idea. -
You have no idea how bad it sux!!!!!!! I swear sometimes I really do wonder if these big wigs are smoking crack!
-
That really does suck very bad!!! My company did the same thing to me when getting this T600 I've got. Said they were bringing me in due to the agreement with Freightliner and that I would be getting a different truck. Didn't know that it was going to take 2 weeks tho to do it. Didn't even get a motel room out of the deal either. Nope, could live in the truck, just couldn't take it on the road.
All about the moeny and we drivers are very replaceable right now!!! Will be glad when the economy picks up and we're in the drivers seat. -
Brick read the posts before you flap your gums, i said i was looking to get a job with marten or schneider doing the intermodal runs, i didnt say i had one, otherwise i would be gone. and besides that i still have to make sure i have all my ducks in a row legally before i back out of this lease

Wow widow - Central has some big ones to pull a stunt like that! I would say that there should be a law, but there is too much government right now as it is.
JJ - does your truck have the word "Mistress" painted on the back. I saw a red truck with "Mistress" on the back of the cab in Henderson - not sure if was centrals terminal or someone else's - flew by too quickly. Regardless, it made me think of you.
Today they put me in a truck to begin the backing maneuvers. It was not as bad as I thought - straight backing and offset. I am sure it is different with vehicles around verses the cones. Only knocked down 6 cones all day. Sure is different than backing a 30' hay trailer! Just crank the tunes, turn on the A/C and then figure out how to shift and clutch (still have a ways to go on that account). Twas a good day - no stupid training films with porno music.
Plan the BBQ after I am driving so I can meet you all!
And four more pages in one day - you all trying to set a new record? -
Brickman 81... thank you for pointing out to me that I am a liar. Were you hoping to stir things up? Jolly came on here to read the helpful answers that many gave to my questions, when he ran across your answers to me. I pretty much overlook discourteous behavior because not everyone knows how to say what they feel or think in a polite way when they disagree. I have nothing against you, but you do respond to what I write curtly. I held back saying anything out of respect for the spirit in which this thread was created... to communicate and to vent safely among friends. I understand my partner's need to come to my rescue, and I love him for his protectiveness, but as a teacher whose worked with at-risk students for most of my career, I have a pretty thick skin and have learned to not take things personally. (thank you baby, but I can hold my own). This will be the last time I comment to any of your negative comments, because it embarrasses me to have any part in causing drama in this forum. I apologize for my part in any of this.

Oh really, let me think about what I said...
I never implied that you had a new gig & you are the one who said you were looking for something local, so Maybe YOU should read a post before you flap your gums sir.
If you do get something, be sure to report to us how hard it is to get out of the lease. I for one am very interested in what it takes to get out of one of those. -
