Do yourself a favor, Resist temptation. When you go to orientation you will see the "TMC Store" in the front of the hotel... Don't buy anything until you know you have a job.

It used to crack me up when the newbies would come in on their first night and spend 100+ dollars on their overpriced t-shirts and hats only to find out the next day that they won't even have a job and get sent home.

Don't give them any more of your money than you have to =P

 

TMC gets a driver local to my area (NE MS), in and out frequently. So the answer to your question, is yes. Plenty of flatbed freight coming out of and into MS.

 

Yep I saw the same thing happen when I was there, and everyone that bought a hat or T-shirt the first day didn't make it. I think some thought it would help their chances coming to class in TMC gear,lol. I said I'd buy a hat when I made it but I never did get anything , heck they should give free hats to those that make it.

 

Same thing is still happenin, would see newbs loadin up at the store, and then see the death cab takin 'em back to the hotel. (Would see trainees getting into a blacked-out Dodge Charger at the training yard during breaks, then would never see them again )

Amen, brutha! Shucks, even a t-shirt would be nice.....but I aint quite made it yet...still got that 5wks with a trainer to go, plus final out testing, so we'll see. (After trainer I'm sposed to hook up with finishes their vacation, that is. )
