    You're working way too hard.

(says the guy who loaded a pickup truck sized load onto a 40 foot flatbed... the things I do to get out of the office)

Honestly I’ve never been able to feel them bottom out. The adjuster will bottom out before anything else. I’ll tell you how I do it but I’m not telling you or anyone else to do it this way. I hand tighten the adjuster till it gets tight, then tighten two flats and lock it down. It ain’t what the book says but it’s always worked for me.

I haul for this bunch every year. And they always have one that won't cooperate.

She came out backwards and flipped upside down. Then she got stuck in the doorway. Had to unload a dozen by jumping them over her, then had to pull away from the chute to let her fall on the ground.

But she limped away...alive and sore but she'll be alright.

Wow, glad ya caught that before it made a mess.....

I just cut the top off an old injector and weld some all-thread to it. Then make a square steel plate with four holes matched up to the valves. Run the piston to TDC, install injector, tighten clamp, then put the plate on and tighten a nut and compress all four valve springs at once.
