Talked to a Schneider driver a few months ago he’d been with them a few years was asking me about Highway Transport out of the same terminal in Coraopolis told him what they were offering~he says I’d have to drive 3000 + miles a week to make that with Schneider

 

you know, sometimes, I find myself waving to Highway Transport thinking they are one of us.....until they get closer and I can see it's more dark blue and the 'H' on the trailer. lol

 

Yeah I did the same lol I think we all do it lol

 

Yes that was my main gripe there. They liked to send me to tank wash and sit me there for 3,4 days waiting for a load making 65 a day in layover pay. They also liked to send me (OTR driver) areas they don't have local drivers and make me do 50-100 mile runs on mileage pay.

 

Given all the merger tallk it would be pretty interesting if Superior and Highway merged.

 

yeah, that sounds more like 'general freight pay' if you ask me. Heard Prime isn't much better. Any outfit that is mainly all tanker, you'll make more money than a company that has a small 'division' of tankers.

 

I worked at Enterprise when we got bought by KAG in 2013. First thing KAG told us was "your benefits are out of line with the industry." I didn't hang around to see the realignment.

I didn't know Highway was a dirt bag outfit.

huh....I never read anyone saying Highway is a 'dirtbag company'......or maybe he meant, he worked there and they were a dirtbag company?
