Bought a pair of scissors today because the old one finally snapped. Its too bad. No more of those things left in my house.
Came home with shopping etc. Pull scissors out with it's carded packing and strong plastic bands. Said to my driver... now I need a pair of scissors to get these out of the bands.. sheesh.
Anyway.
If you drivers cannot turn a semi right turn to left turn in offset. keep in mind this new Ford Carrier is capable of going from full right turn to full left turn in approximately 500 feet or half it's own length at about 41 mph.

Yeah, but they had to use the bow thrusters to make that turn. Tho I would be concerned of aircraft rolling off the deck on one of those turnsRidgeRunner731, x1Heavy, D.Tibbitt and 3 others Thank this.

Good luck !

2 weeks notice? If I've learned anything on here it's that you never do that, you sell the fuel out of the truck, and call the Marshalls to verify your drop off of the truck lol.RidgeRunner731, Sirscrapntruckalot, austinmike and 6 others Thank this.

I would not. Consider the deck is armored. And special presses have punched dishes for securing planes. They chain the bejesus out of their planes every moment. If it did break loose oh well. Over the side it goes whistle up a replacement in a few hours from the USA.
I would be surprised if it was equipped with bow thrusters, early dry dock photos prior to flooding did not indicate such equiptment unless they tack plated it over as a secret.
There are four things I keep myself up late at night regarding carriers.
1 They stay in port all together in bunches. A couple of missiles from a Iranian Bumboat will take them out for years to come. Another into the dry dock facility and big blue would wreck that ability.
2- Air defense is impractical. If you find 1000 isklanders on 1000 frontal aviation aircraft with the range to make the trip to launch from 500+ miles away and flood the few hundred defensive missiles, you will gaurantee the death of at least 6000 american people and our blood and treasure for world war three.
3- The Carriers are known to have the ammo down below. at the bottom. The chinese DF-21 takes advantage of that. We are working on a counter measure believe it or not in several ways.
4- The carriers themselves are very weak in it's own defenses. A few boxes of Rolling Airframe Missiles will not save it. We have kind of forgotten how to fight near peer powers. After years of hunting terrorists in the dirt.RidgeRunner731, D.Tibbitt, Dave_in_AZ and 1 other person Thank this.
