did you have a place to live if you got the job?
i might be confused on why you went all the way to Tampa, for a job, wasn't there any phone conversations previous to this, about where you live in NJ.?Last edited: Nov 4, 2019
D.Tibbitt, Jmelendez1223, McUzi and 2 others Thank this. -
no i didnt have a place to live but was willing to relocate and with me traveling over there was because i have plans to move to florida with my little family and when they call me the lady knew i was living in jersey and they still brought me in and on top i have a friend who works there at pepsi so kind of confused on why i didnt get the position...
And the guy who interview me understood my situation because he had told me yea i did the same thing as you got a email and call from pepsi to come in for a interview and flew for that one day and look now hes working there ...

so in your situation, maybe you do have a friend, that put in a good word for you, but.........it comes down to how do they like your friend..????
on the other side, maybe they wanted a resident not a potential resident, so that you could start ASAP..they may not have the time to wait while you get back on down there, set up a place to live, get your license transferred, etc, etc.
sadly, it's always something that snags plans.
i think that if you want to move say down to FL, then do so, on your own first, get all things established like i mentioned, then get the job, then get the family on down there at a later time.
it takes some sacrifice to do so, but it works out laterSirscrapntruckalot, D.Tibbitt, FlaSwampRat and 2 others Thank this. -
union shop or not, many employers "hire from with-in" before they seek outsiders.D.Tibbitt, FlaSwampRat and bryan21384 Thank this. -

Okay, here is the deal with the rejection letter. That comes from a guy named Schneider in Orlando that apparently doesn't know anything about anything from what I hear. Don't let it get ya down because I got two of em before I got hired and I did put a word in and I'm hoping to hear something tomorrow. As far as needing someone right now...yes and no because we aren't literally dying or anything but always need more help due to the high level of turnover (guys don't like to push pallets on the heat). The reason everyone gets those rejection letters even when they shouldn't is the company is going thru huge growing pains being as how it is a brand new company (2015) we are up to about 5000 employees now company wide so it's getting some size to it while everyone that runs it is still kinda used to a much smaller company. If you are able to get in you would be working out of the same building I do (Madison).
Jmelendez1223 and buddyd157 Thank this. -

FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
They are advertising on TV here in Louisville for peak drivers at $35 an hour. Some will lead to full time jobs. This will be my 8th year not being there for peak and I can’t say that I miss it.authentic251 and FlaSwampRat Thank this.
