Either include the girls' parents on the defender's docket or let Tony Alamo go.

I've got a better idea. How about we don't let Rev. Alamo go under ANY circumstances.

Whats the point? Who is legally responsible for the well-being of a 9 year old girl, according to the law? WHO????

If the Law wants to throw Tony Alamo under a jail, they should save room under the jail for the bonehead parents! Unless Mr Alamo kidnapped these girls, he was given consent by the parents. This is akin to child prostitution, and the parents are the pimps. Hang them all or theres no point to this.

Goofy parents need to know that if they do stuff like this, (or let their children sleep over in Neverland Ranch) they are the ones that are responsible. Til then, crap like this will continue to happen.

Question: Do you really want justice or do you just want to feel better? Justice demands that the parents hang alongside Mr Alamo.

If I had my way with him...the "rest of his life" would be about 2 hours (maybe more, but I doubt it, he's old)...slow and painful.

It would serve him right...My sisters first husband molested my niece (his own daughter) at age 6, they said she would forget it in time...she hasn't. And her Daddy has a really crooked jaw and walks with a limp. I would have finished him but my Dad stopped me...

That low life is in prison now though...living off my tax money.

ETA: Hows that for "politically uncorrect"...say what you mean, mean what you say, and try not to be mean saying it.

Why is it an all or nothing equation with you? I agree that the parents should get the chair for not protecting their little girl, and they should probably get it before Rev. Alamo. But if they don't take the parents, why should they let Rev. Alamo off too?

I get your point, but man, that was inartfully stated. I'll take 33% of the scumbags in prison over 0% any day of the week.

At the end of the day, whether it is justice or me just feeling better, if it gets a kiddie rapist off the street and away from the pulpit, I don't care what you call it.

There IS a point...convict this sicko, then prosecute the parents.

Without a conviction, there is no way to prosecute the parents.

True. Bringing the parents in complicates the case to much. There's more chance to lose it.

If you read the article, you see that Rev. Alamo used the fear of death and hell to keep his victims from leaving. This is an extreme, but telling example of why I always reject the message of fear when it comes to religion. Fear is nothing but a marketing tool and the truth doesn't need to be marketed. Some religious leaders use fear to steal your money, some use it to steal your talents, some use it to steal your political power and some use it to steal your 9 year- old daughters and sons. But make no mistake, when the sermon turns to fear mongering, the long con has begun.
