Be safe... -
Way to go Scooter. You are steadily moving forward

Congrats on the purchase. Was the purchase process fairly painless or did you have to play hardball? Just curious for my own research.
I look forward to your updates.

Congrats Scooter. You'll do great as an O/O (and best selling author). You've got the right attitude, mind and work ethic to be successful. Little Man, Tater, ????... Lots of pressure in the name department!
Trainee to O/O in less than 6 months!! Not bad, my friend! -
Just know what you want, what you need, and what you will not do without..... then hit the truckpaper or one of the other mags and start learning. And dreaming.......
The truck already has a name. (what is it? what is it?)
Linda's mother, who passed away a few years ago, was one of the hardest working, most devoted (and stubborn) ladies I have ever met. She had a twinkle in her eye, and the devil in her grin. At first, she wanted nothing to do with me, but over time, we became the best of friends. In the last year of her life, she came down with cancer. And she insisted that I be the only one to give her the shots every night. And I only missed one because I had to go out of town. But once we bonded, we always had fun. And our "special little thing" that we used to do was go down to the local Hardee's and get peach milkshakes. Then we would sit in the parking lot and she would flip people off that stared at us. Quite hilarious to see an 80+ year old lady do that. But no matter what, I could always count on her (even when she was sick) and she would never let me down.
So what better than to name MY first truck "Rudy" (short for Rudine)(and I was the only person that could call her that). That is her in the picture below. Linda's daughter Celeste on the left, and Linda on the right
Looks like it will probably be the middle of the week before I can get by there to pick it up, but maybe you can swing by Hudson to meet her.
I'll let you know

With a name like that and the meaning behind it, it had better be a good truck for you!!
I'll come and see her, but that truck is way too good for the TA, she should be at a proper truckstop like Stockmans. I know she'd feel right at home, because I can see two of my customers in the background of her pictures, so I know right where she is. I can even go down and stand guard this weekend if you want! You know I ain't gonna buy her, and I can keep the mouth- breathers from getting too close to her! -
