hmmm....interesting, but I'm sure very doubtful. Remember, Heniff just bought Miller and now they are for sale....that, to me, is a big surprise.

Hmmm...I wonder if it’s worth jumping aboard? I’m really looking into superior, I’m in Maryland so I’ll be out the Baltimore terminal. I applied last week then called terminal a day after and was told that the terminal manager was out for a week in a half but they got my application and they’ll do interviews once he back next week. I wonder if this merger talk got something to do with it or the terminal manager just did a little vacation. We will see

Just being honest here...there's NO 'merger talk'...it is purely 'speculation'. Nobody will know what's going to happen until it announced from press/company. I've heard 'rumors' of 'merger' but, drivers don't know ####! I'm just waiting to see what happens.SurfBaker Thanks this.

Things are business as usual here. I haven't witnessed any signs of possible merger or buyout. Not like I expect them to go out of their way to give us an advanced notice if it were true.
The terminal managers are always very busy and it's not uncommon for them to be out of office for a few days. If you get a chance to talk to yours and they want to bring you aboard, then that means they have enough freight to keep you busy. If you're really that paranoid about the rumor mill, then word on the street is things will be made public on Jan 1st.scythe08 Thanks this. -
I know in Pasadena, we are not hiring any student drivers until after the 1st of the year. I don’t know about experienced drivers though

St Gabriel is still hiring new drivers. I'm going through the hiring process as one right now.

Yeah that’s why I still went on and applied. It’s not official until they say so.
Naaa not really paranoid more so ready to switch over to the tanker side of trucking...terminal manager probably really is busy and from what I read superior is worth the wait -
I have almost two years driving experience with flatbed but no experience in tanking nor hazmat but have both endorsements with Twic, so I would be New in the aspect of pulling a tank. Anyone know how the Baltimore terminal is ? I have no problem with the Ne region
.
Was told I be out two weeks with a trainer and one week in Greer Sc -
All this is speculation I’d be quite surprised if Superior merged with the pumpkin~my company (Highway) shares a spot with Schneider in Coraopolis I talk to some of them drivers from what I gather they’re not to happy

Interesting. I'm in CDL school now at Houston Community College and will be finishing mid-December but I went ahead and submitted an app to Superior for the Pasadena terminal about three weeks ago. Got an e-mail for the terminal manager the following week and followed up w/ him w/ a phone call. I let him know when I'd be graduating and he said once I got done to get back in touch w/ him once I had my full license, completion certificate and transcript in hand. He did mention that if everything checked out and there was still positions open I likely wouldn't be able to get started w/ orientation until after the first of the year but it seemed like that had more to do w/ the scheduling around the holidays more than anything else.
