Hello, everyone i just want to introduce myself to this amazing forum and trucking community. I am not even a student yet i am a wannabe but i plan on going to get my CDL and work for a company from what i have seen on here the company i am going to apply for is looked down upon by alot but every company has it pros and cons but from what i have read on this forum is that if you want to start you need to get in some how and this seems to be the only way for me. I am a little nervous be cause i this is going to be a new adventure and I know that I am going to be away from my family a lot but this what i want to do and my family is supportive of my decision. I just want to thank everyone on here for the info i have recived and i look forward to meeting some of you some day on the road.
    thank you for you time.

Good luck. Try not to let all the nay-sayers get you down. Trucking has its ups and downs like any profession, but all in all it's not a bad way to make a living!

Going to give you 3 pieces of advice as you start your trucking career. 1. Never let anybody talk you into something you are not comfortable doing. 2. People in cars do stupid things. Be aware of the cars and where they are and where you are. Know your position on the road.3. You can go down a hill slow as many times as you want. You will only down it fast once. I followed these 3 pieces of advice for my trucking career and they kept me out of trouble. Good Luck to you and learn to DRIVE SAFE!
