just business model alone, if it were me I would work Costco. I would beg homeless on the street before I worked for the Waltons.

So they had pulled this posting down for a few months but it's back up now and looks like it's been updated to specifically for the brand new Costco DC in Brookshire, TX which is just north of Houston. The new posting also says the coverage area is "primarily" Texas and Louisiana as opposed to before when it cited TX, OK, LA and MO.

Seems like it could be a pretty good first gig for a new driver like myself, just curious what kind of miles / pay it might really be?

Yeah you guys are right, that DC is straight out I10 west. When we first moved to the Houston area we were living down south in Pearland outside of BW8 and now I tend to think of everything not in that general area as "north". We live in the Cypress / Katy area now and most people refer to it as north of the city and that new Costco DC is only about 20 mins from our house but I didn't really think you do go back south in order to get there.

One thing I did notice in this new Schneider posting is that it's apparently "reefer" drop-n-hook loads so there may not necessarily be a high volume for Schneider to be moving.

consider, would it be worth it to SNI to run an account if it couldnt earn for the company? trucks and maintenance on them. the fuel. support staff for the account.... driver pay and all that goes into that

each would recieve deliveries at least every other day if not daily. on the refrigerated/frozen side the stores dont have the storage space otherwise.

now to your point, the number of stores serviced would be a limiting factor but I dont know the running area and how many stores are in that area.
