No nicotine or caffeine.
Slow breathing exercises, inhale 4 seconds, hold 7 seconds, exhale 8 seconds, repeat for several minutes before your exam.
It's been shown that petting a dog or other animal actually lowers blood pressure. You can't take your pet to the doctor, but you can close your eyes and visualize yourself petting the dog.
Of course these are all hacks for the day of the exam. You need long term solutions. Get enough sleep, exercise, cut sugar and starchy foods from your diet, and fast one or two days a week. I've gone from high blood pressure on three medications to normal blood pressure with none, and lost over 100 lbs in the process.

Make sure you fast for at least 18 hours and what you want to do is about 30 minutes before the test, drink plenty of water and take a couple aspirin. What this will do is thin your blood and get your numbers down.
You might cheat the test via this method, but you're really only cheating yourself at the end of the day. You gotta get that BP down.Tx Countryboy Thanks this. -
- If you practice meditation, be sure to get into a good headspace.
- Put a couple of cottonballs with a drop or 2 of lavender essential oil in your pockets or inside your shoes.

i was taking a dot physical years ago. i was at a certain company. we are standing outside in 100 degrees on the pavement doing training. my number came up to get my physical and i failed the bp. dr. asked me why. i said cause i have been outside in 100 degrees. im hungry. i need ac. and i need a camel menthol. i ate 2 subs with sweet tea. cool down in some ac for a 1 hour. smoked me a few cigs and told trucker stories outside. came back in a pass my bp check. i know what my body needs. lol
Opus, meechyaboy and sherlock510 Thank this. -
I always took a couple aspirins, before my physical, I found out recently, that it can actually raise your BP. I’m now taking Losartan 50 mg daily, No more high BP.

And the OP is asking for a quick fix while on BP meds already.
Missing one pill will likely change nothing for tomorrow morning, in any case.
Neither is there a one day quick fix.Last edited: Nov 11, 2019

A medical assistant once told me to get them to put the cuff on your left arm and raise it above your head while getting tested and will read more accurate.
