Some companies have specific numbering system.

Look at England trucks. Any number that starts with 9 is lease operator. I think 8 and 7 might be included. MAYBE.

Look at JCT trucks. Their numbers start with letters. How may letters is how many lease operators have been in that truck.

A #1. B #2. etc.

 

Any trucker worth his salt pays attention to such details. I do the same.

Can't tell for sure, but this is the helicopter pilot equivalent of a Swift driver cutting a corner too close and taking the nose off of a parked tractor.
No reason for either.

Yes. I was in aviation when 10 year work history and drug tests were required. I cannot remember if those rules applied to truck drivers and pilot/mechanics at exactly the same time, but I think they did apply to all of the above at the same time, although companies could require them before employment even before they became mandatory.

 

Oh, Pumpkin not gonna be happy 'bout this. Think of the poor schmuck that was dispatched to that trailer.

 

I'll bet the owner of the helicopter isn't too thrilled. That machine is totalled.
