Today i see black in coolant reservoir and smells like diesel too .. can be mix of oil and diesel in coolant now. How serious is this ?? Thanks for your input.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Could be injector cups. My friend had the same problem, diesel in coolant, same engine. He replaced cups and everything is fine since. Around $1500 here in chicago
Pal22g and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Oil will usually look gray, slimy, builds up on cap, Fuel in coolant? I can’t say where to start. Injector o rings maybe, I’m not a Mechanic, Trying to figure mine out, air in fuel, myself, good luck, hopefully some of the real mechanics, familiar with your engine will show up.
Pal22g Thanks this. -
He’s probably right about that, same as my 12.7, I think they can change yours, without pulling the head. If it’s a 14LPal22g Thanks this.

Hello sir,,, I was reading thru your reply to the initial question/onset of this thread...I have a 2004 Columbia 60 series but with coolant literally vanishing from my coolant reservoir & somehow finding its way into the crank case
no coolant leaks are visible...with the coolant reservoir topped off truck will run fine...come out the next day & the coolant is gone...well below the shut down sensor on the reservoir...checked the oil & it’s over full by two or three gallons...but oddly enough not milky or discolored...just way up on the dip stick...any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated thx!
