I wish I would of known I came in last night to Toby around 830 . I carry a spare gladhand. My week was messed up from having a new DEF harness installed, lost a day.

 

Boy this sign on process is taking forever lol sheesh

 

How long?

 

They tell you it could take 3 weeks and to not quit your day job until your ok'ed

 

When I went to work for @Dave_in_AZ a few months back he pretty much predicted to the day when I would get approved. That was incredibly annoying LOL. I’m couldn’t believe it took that long. The key was calling and checking where they were at and what they needed. It seemed ridiculous to have to manage them, but that was what speeded the process up. I prodded them in a very nice and professional manner.

I think it was a month to the day that I was at orientation. I sat and did all my online certificates straight away and then it was the next day trailer utilization had my card loaded and I was heading for my empty.

 

I thought you got your own authority?

 

Insurance too high, not worth it

 

Exactly what happened to me. I called them at 2 weeks and they said everything was moving along. At 4 weeks I called them again and they said they were right were they were at 2 weeks. Waiting for my current employer to get back on them if I had worked in ice and snow (I live in Minnesota duh). I gave them city dispatches number told them to talk to anyone that answered the phone because everyone there had been my super at 1 time or another and 2 hours later they called me back and said "welcome to Landstar".
