    just applied I was doing flatbed for a owner opp and he laid me off said he couldn't pay me anymore

    That’s not completely true. I had 4 months experience when I got a local home everyday Union job back in 2010(Pepsi). I worked a crap ton of hours but was grossing $1,200+ per week. That same job in 2019 will take you with no experience.

    Places like Old Dominion require a year at most, and you can make darn good money there.

    I myself do believe in paying your dues and climbing step by step. But in today’s trucking world, you can get about halfway up that ladder almost right off the bat. And more power to those that get that opportunity.

    Oh I know that, I was just saying you can make decent money staying local in general with little to no experience.
