I wish they would tear down and rebuild that other flying J on the south side of I-90 too.

The article says no overnite parking. Humm. The current Loves is the old Pilot. The Pilot/Flying J was an old franchise Flying J. The new Pilot is being built catycorner across the way from the Loves.
-
That Loves is terrible also for parking or fueling up. Another real fuel stop at that exit should help a little. I hate having to stop for fuel around that area because of what a cluster it is. The Flying J at exit 109 is a toilet and the fuel is a rip off. Nothing I like about that place either. I usually stop at Shree's in Thorp at the 101. That is just a fuel stop also but they have a few 30 minutes spots for big trucks.

PFJ doesn't own that Flying J. It's a franchise, Broadway Flying J. A dump but they did have a restaurant that wasn't Dennys or Subway.bthomann Thanks this.

So what is that going to be...basically a Pilot Express??? Boo....

The steakhouse can stay but the rest of it needs to be bulldozed and rebuilt.Flat Earth Trucker and bzinger Thank this.

My assumption is that either property values are just a little too high in that area, or the NIMBY's that have spilled over from the Puget Sound region are just a little too noisy in their protest. (Lots of pillow-biting Nancies in the part of the country) There is no lack of space for a proper truck stop further down the road from the Loves.
-
Okay that answered my other curiosity. I remember that steakhouse from when I was pretty much trapped in Ellensburg back in 2013...I dang near moved into there. And I remember having some of the best steak and wine I'd had to date. Haven't been back since then and wondered if it was still there.

Those "bakes" at the Broadway Flying J in Ellensburg are FN awesome.
The last time I went into the Loves I noticed the counters were set up like a PFJ so I was wondering if it was one previously. Strange that they would open one up then sell it.
