I understand what you are saying, but if Peterbilt makes the best truck ever made, all that crazy money that is spent to buy those trucks should get put back into research and development so the trucks continually improve, not get worse. Especially simple design and Engineering things like the clutch pedal problems and water coming in to destroy your circuit breakers.
That says something about Peterbilt as a company.

Parts are expensive, but if you don't own one and thus don't buy parts for one, what makes you think that they are any more expensive than other brands?

Drive my 28 year old POS down the road I guarantee you'll be impressed weather you will admit it or not. My friends many of them on this forum ask me when we are on the phone "you truckin?" Cause they dont hear the rattles and shakes. Like you said I wont ever make you understand it.....however if your gonna ask these questions you need to compare trucks of similar conditions.
Name me a truck that doesn't leak. The problems are from not getting the leak fixed. Mine has leaked but my fuse box isn't corroded and mucked up cause guess why.....that's right I fixed the leak soon as I noticed it. They leak from improper windshield installation as well as old marker lights on top. It falls back to if you want something nice you have to take care of itLast edited: Nov 23, 2019

It’s not like Peterbilt is the only modern truck brand that has component issues....
Check into any truck dealer on any day that ends in Y and you to will see modern trucks that cost well into the six figures in the shop for......electrical issues.exhausted379, Tall Mike, Bean Jr. and 6 others Thank this. -

I haven't driven to many pete's but I know a lot of guys really like that rear suspension they have. The one with the leaf that goes over the axle and then drops down to the air bag. Not the C shaped spring one. I love my W9L and love how it looks, but the 8 bag on it only rides so so IMO. Every big hood pete I've been it will turn inside my W9 as well. But I like the layout of my KW better than the pete's so thats just personal preference. Out of the 4 trucks your looking at I would look at things like motor serial numbers etc etc and get one thats spec'd best. You won't be disappointed in either truck.
