You don't have to, but it can help you get a lot of loads.
bullhaulerswife and Working Class Patriot Thank this. -
Just as notarps said... NO
I'm also going to echo notarps when he says that it can open up some loads for ya though.
You have to have a TWIC card to access most any sea port in America. I have also heard a rumor that military bases are going to start requiring the TWIC in the near future. -
I got my TWIC card this spring. I keep forgetting to tell my company I have it.
-
No, you dont need it, but what else are you going to spend that $132.50 on?
Everyone knows truckdrivers make SOOO much money! We are always looking for oppurtunities to waste our cash on stupid, ineffective gov't programs like TWIC!
That didnt sound too bitter or sarcastic did it?LouisianaDriver Thanks this. -
Yea, that "Highway Watch" stuff lets me know that I'm doing my part for homeland security. I am a patriot! We cannot let the terrorist win. Keep up the fight against Cobra.
Go Joe! -
You're right!! Been looking into some companies and .26 cents per mile sounds like a lot. LMAO
. I can think of a lot of better things to spend 132.50 on and it doesn't involve the government. I think that sometimes they just come out with things to see how far they can get away with it.
-
Not sure if you've heard... But that highway watch program has gone down the toilet & is no longer with up!
-
Yep I used to be a member.
-
I never was. Georgia wouldn't issue CDL's unless you were a member. So I kept my license in Tennessee using my sister's address. As soon as I heard that Highway Watch was gone... I transferred my license.
