Gotta take the truck to Marshfield Wisconsin next week to have Roehl DOT it and put on the decals. I will keep you all up to date on how I am doing. If I knew how to add a picture I would show you it.
Today I bought my first truck

Good looking ride, Etch. I have been fond of the 9400 for several years. Have an '06 9400 now with a Cummins ISX. Tell me, does yours have the dpf 2007 emissions, or is the engine a pre '07 type? If it is the pre '07 engine, you can unplug the EGR and it will usually give you a full mpg better performance. It will throw 1 fault code, but no check engine light (at least that is all that happened on mine). Even checked with places like Pittsburg Power about how this will affect anything, and they said that it was the best thing I could have done to my ISX. My dealer could care less that I did it and any time I take the truck in they just ignore that particular fault code. My aerodynamics are not as good as yours since I have twin side stacks and no skirts. I get an average mpg of 7.3-7.5. You might be able to top that with your aerodynamics. Mine also had the bug deflector on the hood, but I removed it and gained .1 -.2 mpg. I can clean windows for the extra $500+ a year in fuel I save. I have never really seen that bug deflectors on an aero hood really did that great of a job anyway. Bug deflectors on aero hoods just seem to add to the looks.
Good Luck with the truck!!!Last edited: Jul 24, 2009
