    can anybody tell me if you have to have a cdl permit before you go to a swift(millington) school. and what is the "real" out of pocket cost to attend?

    I'm not sure what they told you... But they didn't send you home to protect you. They sent you home to protect themselves & not to add any more fuel on the fire that is already burning.

    Just a couple years ago they shut that training academy down because they were giving licenses to illegal aliens. They use to be a third party tester & never checked documentation on those people. If my memory serves me correctly... They also shut the whole company of Swift down for several hours while the authorities sifted thru paperwork trying to determine who was legal or illegal...

    i nailed the road test!!! i start orientation on august 3rd in edwardsville, ks

    this week i had frustrations on mistakes i made as well on the test this morning, several time i was about to put the brakes, turn off the engine, jump in my car and go home... but in my whole life i never gave up anything and i kept telling myself... it's not today i'll start giving up

    so i took a deep breath and kept going... i'm not spiritual or religious but a big thank you goes to my dad who kept an eye on me once i'll go to montreal, qc, i'll buy a beer for him and put it on his grave!!

    Good job. :) Be smarter than the equipment, it just does what you tell it to. It's not so bad... I've told others before, it finally just clicks and then you are good to go.
