Hello all, just had a couple questions about Werner and their Indianapolis terminal/orientation.
1)Is the terminal clean, easy to find?
    2) Is the orientation better/worse from others?
    3) Do you do a lap around before going out with your trainer?
    4) Any other tidbits about Werner and the Indy terminal/orientation would be helpful

The Indy terminal is the closest to me and I was thinking about going back over the road. Have 5 months exp. with trac/trlr 3 months solo. Have been driving a straight truck locally for mediocre money and have been thinking about going back over the road because it was something I loved and have now gotten things in order for it to be a viable career choice now. Was thinking about Werner as a place to start back with, I know everyone has their opinions (good and bad) I would love to hear from ppl that have been to the Indy terminal or has gone to their orientation. And anyone else that knows anything they would like to share that they think is relevant. Thanks in advance for the help :)

If it is the same place where they have practically an onsite TDI school off exit 4 down Harding St like I'm thinking, then that is the one I went into a few years back to check out any opportunities. It was pretty decent inside and the few folks I did talk to were pretty cool. It was not difficult to find, I didn't have a gps back then either to save me. It's located near a pilot, flying j, and mr. fuel along with fast food places so if you need to get some food or snacks that shouldn't be a problem. The other questions I don't really know b/c I've only been through one orientation and that was Millis. Let us know how it goes.

thanks for the reply califound :) I am slowly looking into my options with Werner and still looking at other companies around the SW Indiana area. Not much experience under my belt so my best options right now are the bigger companies. I know, they might "suck my soul out of my urethra" if I listen to some ppl on here, but we have to crawl before we can walk. Would love to hear if anyone else has been through orientation in Indianapolis or anywhere with Werner recently, thanks in advance :)

NP jdiz. I'm in the same boat. I have very limited experience so my odds of finding a job I feel are drastically reduced. When I first read through some posts on here 9 out of 10 of them were talking about how bad this and that company are and you shouldn't get into trucking. Maybe that's a slight exaggeration but honestly when I first read some posts about getting started it made me wonder why ANYONE is in trucking since its so terrible. At least you are open minded about what COULD happen and not walking in thinking that everything that nice recruiter said is the truth. Stay open minded like that, it's a great start.
