What if it Snows?

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
I'm home.

 

I value nothing days. It's really something. No place to be no appointments anything. Nothing. What do I do? Cave bear in a bed buried in my own blankets. Wife has to wait a day or night. I'll be fine once rested.

The worst of it was with family early in my trucking. Come out of Chicago south or some dangerous place go home and hibernate for a day so I come out behaving like a son, brother or whatever properly. They did not have a understanding of my state of mind coming home some days. Ask me at the dinner table how it went and I end up telling them about two who burned alive on sandstone.

*SILENCE*

Thats the end of those stories at the table. Of all places. They asked. *Shrugs.

Then we had a dance hall in the hills modeled on the mountain people with the music and bar to match. Once in a while someone wants to fight. And have at it in those days. No law generally and enough is enough at some point. But I saw it as a stress reliever of sorts. No need for the doctor and pills. Just a go around then beers after. No harm.

But some of them boys can hit and it's like being poleaxed by a tree trunk so a few extra days dispatcher has to wait on me until the injuries heal enough to get going HA...

 

37 pages or so have gone since last time I was here... LOL...
Have been super busy this week.. and travelling everyday between Cabo Frio, city of Rio and city of Macae and city of Unamar.. busy busy... business business....
Almost forgot it was Thanksgiving in the US this Thursday... folks here don't celebrate like you in the US...
Anyway.. HAPPY BELATED THANKSGIVING TO EVERYBODY!

Man i aint been home for thanksgiving in over 5 years. Sure is good to get home and share crazy lunch counter trucking stories with the family

 

Can't forget the crazy coke yard dog either.

 

Well there was a break in the weather and I snagged my load and got over the grapevine and to the receiver. Then not long after that they closed it again.

Not upset with my choice. Hopefully they can still live unload me at 6am. Otherwise I’m stuck in San Diego with free time and tons of fun stuff to do.

The wife and son drove home and made it there safely.

It was a good day.

 

Unload app is 2-00 tomorrow. Will park on AFS street and family will take care to ride me around.
