We need to get you to real italian food. There are a dozen places near where i grew up with the same basic fazoli menu, at the same price/portion point but twice the quality. Heck, even Sabarro does pasta better.
Just be glad you got rid of it before she starts driving - real easy to fold that back seat down to make a shaggin wagon.
@D.Tibbitt - I guarantee you that if I took away your speedo your shifting would suffer. You may not be consciously looking at or thinking about it, but your unconcious mind is. Think about tying your shoe - most times you barely glance at the laces but if I blindfold you the knot will come out much different.
Knowing speed/rpm/gear match ups doesn't matter going up when on level ground. When downshifting or on unlevel ground it becomes more important. If I am climbing a hill while accelerating I need to take the rpms a little higher before starting the shift. Same thing power downshifting going uphill - you start the downshift a kittle sooner than if you were on level ground.
When guys are getting taught to downshift they often get told to drop the rpms to 1000 (or 1100), clutch to neutral/run up to 1500, shove it in. That works. But what about when you need to slow in a hurry? You are on the brakes strenuously until 1000 rpms/35mph, you run the rpms up to 1500 but now you are doing 32 mph so the gear grinds and you miss. If you are watching yoir gauges and understand the relationship between gear/speed/rpm you will make the adjustment. Its like dancing - a waltz is a waltz but you still need to dance to the beat and your partner.
Once I could get a guy looking at the gauges, his shifting issues improved if not disappeared out right. Even if he couldn't tell me speed and rpm matches, just looking at the gauges allowed his subconscious to help out.
What if it Snows?

And it did almost kill me taking care of him.
And there were several occasions I was way low on money.
But you don't just shelve the people that protected you from the Boogeyman, and made sure you had a nice home because it's inconvenient for you.RidgeRunner731, lilillill, InTooDeep and 14 others Thank this. -

One of my four 12+ year old video cards threw errors and essentially quit. Good bye old paint. Three left. Plus a spare.
Its not replacable in today's retail market overflowing with video cards that have greater capacity etc. What I am using is the old MSI Twin FrozerIII cards with the 4 gb memory and metal cooling. Paid 550 for that one, 230 for the other three.
Todays cards are going to be quite something with 16 gb memory 4k and so on. We'll see.RidgeRunner731, WesternPlains, FerrissWheel and 1 other person Thank this. -
