386's and 486's started to assert themselves not long after in my lifetime. The 486 was a incredibly important chip.
We pretty much experienced amigas, commodores, intels and so on as they took their turn in the retail spot light. Gaming got established about 84' when computers could run limited flight sim programs etc. First phone line game against another computer was 1992 dailup I think Seawolf win 95 I had him to rights ready to shoot when some other person picked up the extension killing that particular session. Internet showed up in 1992 in my house. Internet gaming took off after I stopped trucking more or less. Although we had much earlier netscape games like chess against god only knows how many others. Pretty nice to impose a 4 move fools mate against someone who does not know chess back then. But a skilled player texts me and say nuh uh I aint that stupid and turns into a knock down drag out fight.
I am worried that everything is going to brick sized cell phones and the computer under my desk is already pass'e a dinosaour dead on it;s feet. I'll build one more big one. But that's the last of that kind. And it's going to be a one hell of a system.RidgeRunner731, Dave_in_AZ, G13Tomcat and 3 others Thank this. -

P800...yuck lol. That's all there was when I started driving. Well those and p1000's (about 4' longer). They make my knees and arms hurt just looking at them. No power steering, like two feet off the ground. I wonder if that's the one they were taking around for promotion years ago. They had it at our building for a few days before it went to Dover for the Nascar race. It's crazy to see it for sale because UPS does not sell trucks at all, they crush them. Some liability thing or something. The p700's (truck numbers 6XXXXX) were originally meant to be leased out after we used them for a few years, that's why they were the first trucks with a plain generic square front ends but they opted not to do it due to potential liability.
