i had a CRST truck...i complain about their trucks a lot, so lets just call it truck 5791..lol. Anyway, it was just fine when i started driving it, but after a week, an injector went out, on an air freight load. i had a light load and it was going up the hills like i had a heavy load. I told them about it, i delivered the load like they told me, and guess what....they gave me a heavy load! rofl Anyway, .....they fixed it and put new back brakes on it. The new brakes broke my laptop (slid off the seat lol never drove a truck with new brakes before that). Uh, more on topic...about a week later, qualcomm went out and it developed a minor air leak where it could not develop air pressure while it was idling. I was backing into a shipper and my pressure was so low i had to stop and fast idle it for a few mins to get air. I'd wake up in the morning (after idling it all night) and it wouldnt have enough air to release the brakes, but had enough to not set the alarm off. heh.

Naaaa.... just tell it like it is. It's easy to tell the truth so why do trucking companies think that they need to lie to their drivers. We can see right through the lies, at least most of us can we do have the 10 percenters. Gotta run, Santa is on his way to bring me a new Truck.

Don't go by satmantoo, he's all over the place. One post will say he was at USA for 14mos another will say 17mos and now this one is 16mos. Besides nobody can say it would or wouldn't be a good fit for someone else. I'm happy there, make good money, but some don't. Most of the time if you talk to them long enough you'll find their problems are self inflicted. All though that is not always the case. I can't tell nobody else you'll be happy here just because I am, just like I couldn't tell you you'd hate it just cause I did. That's ignorant and maybe even borderline stupid. As far as the interest goes on the $500, it is paid to you the last chk of the year. Maybe 1st chk of the year, have to look and see for sure, anyways its paid to you anyone that does not know that simply don't pay attention. Or wasn't there long enough for it to collect any interest maybe? Hmmm?

Fourteen months acually driving, one month training, two months personal leave because of family (Father) illness. Adds up to 17 months with USA Truck. So you see, I'm not really all over the place unless I'm driving:biggrin_255: As far as the interest, which I might add would only add up to a few dollars if that much, YOU, my fellow driver are WRONG,, you go back and re-read your contract, I did. I'm not worried about a few bucks, I could tell you many ways USA shorts the drivers pay but would take too long, you'll see, you will find out. Good luck...

Just wanted to add that USA "IS" a good place to start, stay with them your required year, wreak their truck, tear off their bumpers and mirrors and then go with a real trucking company, you will see the difference right away. Good luck in your driving career and be safe out there.

I don't have a contract 2 read. I,ve been with them longer than a year, besides I don't need a contract to tell me what a check stub says anyhow. I run good miles, make good money, with or without a student onboard. My family lives good and I'm over all happy with USA, they have things just like any other company or job as far as tht goes that sux that's life but I can't based off of my good experience tell someone USA is good for them just like you can't say that it can't work for nobody cause it didn't for you. I'm proof of that! They didn't work for you, they work just fine for me, thts wht makes the world go around. I'm not here to praise the almighty USA that does no wrong, but I will set the record straight when misinformed persons such as yourself try and distort the truth. They are what they are which is gonna be something different to everyone.

I'm NOT misinformed driver, I tell it like it is and it is what it is at USA Truck. It's like the filthy truck they gave me, to some people, maybe you, it was just fine, but to most people it stunk, the last driver was a chain smoker, urine on the floor, filthy rotten dirty. I spent a lot of money, "MY MONEY" cleaning that truck and yet when I first got it and showed it to the shop they said it was clean, and I'll bet you would have thought it was clean. Not everyone is the same or have the same standards. USA put me on a salaried position when I started of $800 per week but when the check came it was always $133. or $266 short. After a month of "we are looking into it" they finally said that they don't pay for days off which means that if you are off one day it's $133 and two days it's $266. They deducted $133 for each day you would be home for home time. I'll bet you are sitting there saying, "that sounds fair to me". I made them move me to general freight which wouldn't have been too bad had the truck not kept breaking down. 30 days in the shop in 2008. 16 days in the shop in 2009 up untill April 09. I found this to be unexceptable and moved on. Good luck to you and USA, sounds like you found a home. By the way, read the financials for USA for the 2nd quarter 09?
