I think I may have them just inframe it, or swap it for one of their remans at 700K. Wrench says to keep this engine.
So gonna see what costs what. I have a spare truck now if I wanna run while it's being done.Tug Toy and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
I was just thinking the same. Quit F’ing around and just take it to a factory Cummins shop. Thankfully my local one is top notch.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

Taking it to a Cummins shop ain't no guarantee you're going to get what you pay for. Good luck.
Bakerman Thanks this. -
Kenny Taylor over on Northern & 83rd ave has a very good rep.
He has rebuilt my DT466 and also did a complete engine gasket kit for my C10. -
While true, you still have people higher up the food chain to help make things right if the shop screws the pooch. Having a nationwide dealer warranty is a bonus.Midwest Trucker Thanks this.

I have a 12 386 pete and mine was leaking like that the front housing was crack a couple injectors, rocker arms etc make a long story short it costed me 16000$ the get it all fixed. If i did it under warranty i could have missed that bullet but the warranty had expired and i had to eat that bill.Rideandrepair and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

Found the leak. Apparently when the rocker bridge broke off it got caught by the cam and pushed into the side of the head causing a crack.Rideandrepair and pushbroom Thank this.
