    Jurupa terminal
Last nite stopped in tonopah az at the t/a for the nite.
A flatbed flipped on its side and was blocking the left lane. Had to go line 5 to.make it to the t/a due to low hours. Originally had an extra 20 minutes when I got passed the az port of entry. Lost it in the traffic. Put in the remarks on the accident and where just in case d.o.t. looks.
Tcalled the load in pheonix terminal at 8am and spent half the day driving arou as in circles looking for an mt.
They sent me to a w almart store and all they had was a roll up door. Took 1hr 45m to go 25 miles. Sat another 45 min waiting for them to deck
    Ice what's next.
Sent me to Goodyear at docks sporting goods and they had none.
Called and complained to jurupa fleet manager about the hassles getting empties.
Then he said my truck was in shop status. I said how? Was never in the shop.
He said I had to drive back to terminal and have the shop take it off. Got there and someone had already released it couple minutes b4 I got there. Sounds fishy lol.
So I went back to the tcall shack and politely #####ed about the empty situation. They didn't really care.
One planner said I could have taken the rollup since the shipper for this load would take it
I thwn said maybe you should have answered the messages I sent since you never answered the phone.
He ended up giving me an empty out of the terminal.
    Not a fun day
Got here with 15 minutes on my 14.
Have a 11am appt in San Fernando ca tomorrow

Gotta love how JV hoards those empties.
That whole lot full of them, and they won't release them.
    Why?

Swift working against Swift does not seem a good idea to me, but they seem to be enemies of the drivers.

I've spent two days trying to get a trailer air leak fixed.
Yesterday I stopped at the Love's in Shelby, IA to get it done. They said 2 hours until I could get it in, after 3 hours they still said another 2 hours.
So I blew them off and delivered my load this morning in Omaha. Then I picked up my next load and headed here to the TA in Council Bluffs to get it done, since I have time on this load to wait a bit.

They said about 2 hours to get in.
After about 1.5 hours they call me to pull up to bay 1.
2 hours later I am still waiting outside the bay.
Someone comes out to tell me that one shift is ending and the next won't be in until around 2200, but they are running late so it will be around 2300. I got here just after 1700.
About 2200 I went in to see what was happening and the mechanic from the last shift said he decided to take my repair and I should be out and running by 2300.
I went in at 2330 t see what was happening.
That guy had taken it apart and then went home.
The other mechanic on duty was going to finish up his repair and then go on a parts run and then go home.
(Going on a parts run at midnight?)
There is no night shift person, and the next shift starts at 0600 - but that guy is usually late.

I told them that I would be asleep at 0600 and I would not be legal to go back on duty until 0900.
I'm not moving the truck until then, even if it is done earlier.

    It was the pheonix terminal.
I also have an issue with jv terminal regarding empties. Their policy is if you drop an empty there they will give you one. But if you tcall a load there they won't.

That is screwy.... Do they put enforcer locks or Gladhand locks on empties in JV?

Dont think ive touched a van there in like 4 years.

    95&80 rest area in NV.

Pick up minerals in the morning. 30miles down the road. (Guessing super sacks, maybey boxed, idk.) Very strict loading window.

CA89 and US 395 were in good shape when I came through, but the snow was falling from the sierras to Fernely.

No.. They don't make you or tell you to drop it. They were at first when they started the new rule.So you can keep it if you don't have a load.
I will drop it there if I am going on hometime so I am guaranteed one when I come back.
There a Yard Dog parked there that notifies dispatch of the trailer you dropped and puts your truck number on the list. If you are not on that list they don't release an empty to you.
I didn't drop the empty I have now since I only ha e 6 hrs left on 70 for tomorrow
