My C-13 just did this and it was the inner cooler that cools the intake air.
There's a water cooled radiator inside the intake on the right side of the motor close to the Turbo that can leak coolant strait into the intake if it fails. Water gets past the pistons and into the oil.

theyre new along with liners

Its not uncommon to pinch or bind or have one not seat correctly. I can only assume the mechanic lubed them correctly on installation. Also if the block is pitted or worn where they seat they will leak
wtokhi Thanks this. -
no i lubed them correctly and i spec'd their height protrusion based on the service manual and they all set correctly, block was in spec also, theres no more oil building up, after thinking about it as far as i can tell the oil was probably all the assembly grease put on the liners and other components that got into the cooling system.

Are you sure its "oil"?
If your getting "fuel" in the coolant it may look like (to some people) oil floating on top.
A bad injector cup could let fuel get in the coolant system. It could also explain the low power.wtokhi Thanks this. -
The specified lube for C13 liner o-ring is 5P-3975 rubber lube, same as most ru-glyde for tires. Not oil based.
-
That's good to know, I've always just put assembly grease on the liners and never had any issues before, I've drained and cleaned the cooling system and there's no more oil building up so I guess that's that
-
No it was oil for sure, the coppers came new with the head, there's no more oil building up after I drained and cleaned the cooling system
-
Im glad you got it sorted out
wtokhi Thanks this. -
Glad to see you solved the issue wtokhi!
I see now my earlier post was totally irrelevant to your situation. I read it backwards I guess and would delete it if I could but the edit window has closed.
I had water in my engine oil not oil in my coolant.
Although quite scary it was a 950 dollar precooler or intercooler that didn't exist on earlier bullet proof Cat engines.
Lots of white smoke, engine missing and went through a lot of coolant. Also was getting coolant into the oil pan just for those who haven't experienced it yet.wtokhi Thanks this.
