Already workin bud! This thread is just for prospective drivers. I don't want more guys getting ripped off and fooled by the name of the company.bryan21384 Thanks this.

Its a risk I'm willing to take to avoid the big carriers. Both have their cons. Big fits will steal from you too. Ive just had bad luck with the small 1099ers. All I can do is give honest reviews and hope they help some other guy not get ripped off.Coffey Thanks this.

That's good brother, you on the road still?RubberDuckie Thanks this.

Hopefully you will find your fit. There are inherent problems with 1099 company driver jobs.
As far as them keeping your escrow for 45 days that is standard in a lease on contract, which is what a 1099 contract is. It is permitted under the FMCSA Truth in Leasing regs.FlaSwampRat, Coffey and RubberDuckie Thank this. -
That's all good but it's at their discretion. And they know full well they're in the wrong here. They have no real reason to hold that few hundred bucks other than spite. There definitely needs to be more 1099 regulation in my opinion. I'm not worried about the money, it's the principle. It's like how a wife can be the one to cheat then the courts let HER take HIM to the cleaners. -
There is more 1099 regulation and it is from the IRS. It most cases companies have to pay drivers on a w-2, 1099 being illegal. You could report them to the IRS if you want.RubberDuckie Thanks this.

Update: Escrow has not been returned as stated in the contract (45 days after leaving). There was no damagr to the truck and I had no pending traffic citations. Have called the owners of the company and they're refusing to respond. I completely expected this and will be moving forward with plans to procure my funds through other (legal) means. Just wanted to give a solid review on a company and tell the whole story. Had they paid, Idve come and reported that as I have in the past. Folks that work should be paid for their work. They send goons after you if you write bad checks. The working mans honest days pay should be protected as well and I'm doing my part. Thanks folks.
Coffey Thanks this. -
You driving for a different company yet?
RubberDuckie Thanks this.
