Actually got a compliment from the reciever for the tarp job, and thanked me for taking care of his wire. First time I've had that happen, just part of the job to take care of your customers' product isn't it?Nostalgic, 1951 ford, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 18 others Thank this. -
For extra storage cut a piece of 1/2 inch ply wood to fit up over your frame rails on the trailer. You'd be surprised how much you can fit on there. I've got 2 tarps and a spare tire with room for more.
Edit to add. Just get 1 coil tarp. When pulling multiple small coils it's just as easy and fast to use 1 regular steel tarp. It's the single big coils that a coil tarp saves a bunch of time with.Al. Roper, 1951 ford, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 12 others Thank this. -
Well for once I gotta thank my local parts shop not having stuff on the shelf.
I been wanting some of them new fangled heated led headlights for awhile. (Figure darn near every vehicle on the road has them anymore and I may as well blind them back. Lol)
Truckin up north was to be the perfect excuse.
They was short 1 low beam yesterday but promised they would have one first thing this morning. Didn't show up. I'd already changed the rest out and figured I better wait for it or I'd regret it. Sat around half the day waiting. Now it's gonna be a vampire run down south to get loaded tomorrow morning. Finally it shows up, so I quick put it on and head out.
Get an hour away and the sweet sounding broker lady calls.
We got a problem, how far away are you?
I'm thinking to myself I know who's about to get forked... What do I do here??? Not proud of it but I lied
"120 miles away from them and 300 from the barn. Why???"
They won't load a stepdeck even though they promised it was ok earlier...
Well crap...
I had them agree to a 10% truck ordered not used on a $14,000 load right from the start. She asked me to take $1,200 instead so they wouldn't loose their butts on it.
I begrudgingly agreed.
So now I don't know if I'm the forker or the forkie in this deal.
Everybodys happy so we musta gave each other a hug afterwards I guess... -
